As the author points out, there are a lot of books about the battle for Crete, but very little written about the fighting in Greece and Jugoslavia (Yugoslavia) prior to Crete. I certainly learned a lot about the those parts of the overall Balkans campaign. The pictures were a|About the Author|Jeffrey Plowman is a research biochemist by profession, and he has had a keen interest in military history for over thirty-five years. He has made a special study of New Zealand armour and armoured units and he has published eight books as well
