Though it's not illustrated, there are enough books out there that are, this book delves into the Knight's Cross holders where other extant books haven't. It looks at the minor recipients, the other books concentrate on the better known people. Having leafed through Volume I and looked at the bibliography, I know that this is a well-researched work full of promise and I look forward to previewing Volumes II, III......
